I was wondering how long it will take me to obtain a driver's license and what are all the courses I need to take. I heard from friends that after segment 1 you must wait 9 months, is this true? I just wanna know all and all how much time it will be before I can have one if I were to start taking the classes immediately. Thanks for the help.

Why is my macbook making these noises and not turning on?

I've been using my brother's macbook while he's gone (I'm not sure which version it is. It has the plastic white case with the actual clicker bar next to the track pad), and last night it started making these weird noises. It sounded like when you put a CD in the drive and you turn the macbook sideways. Where it's a kind of gurgley noise coming from the disk drive area. It was getting really hot and today I was watching a video on Netflix and the computer just shut off. The screen went black and now when I try to restart the computer, it turns on and goes to the start up screen with the Apple sign and the little loading spinning wheel. It does that forever and never fully turns on. It also gets really hot. Help! How can I fix this and what is wrong? Is there an easy way to fix it? Is it going to cost a lot of money? Am I going to have a professional do it? Please help!

Step dad problems. Please help.?

Today my step father yelled at me over a merit badge project i am doing for boy scouts. First of all it was, only a segment of the merit badge requirements and he didn't even read what the requirement was. I did it accordingly but he still insists that i did it wrong, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT WHAT THE REQUIREMENT WAS! He yelled at me for a pretty long time and started saying stuff like, "I could get you up at eight o'clock in the morning and make you work all damn day!" and "You're going to have to start buying your own damn food and clothes! When school comes around you're gonna be buying anything that you wanna wear!". I never tried to provoke any of this, when i showed him my project and told him to read it (which i probably should have asked him to read it.) he flung it away and said "Don't ever throw **** at my face again." I didn't even throw it at his face, i put it on the counter in front of him. I did slam it down but it was at least two feet away from him. I've never really had problems with him before, as long as i stay quiet and do what he says i'm ok. Maybe it was the fact that he's never been so aggressive towards me that made me so comfortable doing what i did. Needless to say though, it scared the **** out of me. Luckily my mom came when she did because it was just getting worse and worse. I've always done what he said because he puts clothes on my back and food on the table, but now he's threatening to deprive me of that. I don't know what to do at this point. I never liked being in boy scouts anyway so i might try and convince my mom to let me quit. If i had never tried to do this merit badge none of this would have happened. I went ahead and burned the packet in my room with a lighter that my biological dad gave me. I see him every now and then during the summer but i don't know him well enough to ask if i can move in. i just watched a yahoo news segment...on mold or....mould. "They" reported that there are 300,000 or more good or useful moulds, especially in making cheese and....in making anti biotics. But....I thought some information was forthcoming about whether or not it is safe to eat a piece of green moldy bread, as in....bread with just a little little bit of mold. Does anyone know if a person accidentally ate the mold (didn't see it) on the bread, if a serious medical problem would develop? at this moment, my heart is racing, my skin is turning green...I'm frothing at the mouth..and I no longer need Viagra...my god! Hi, I have been googling emailing software for the past two hours and reading their websites. I am very confused which ones might be the best. Puppy wont stop crying in the crate...?

I posted a question a couple of weeks ago about my puppy crying in her crate...she is almost 4 months old now and she still cries when she is in her crate...i have gotten her to the point where she no longer screams at night, she may cry for like 5 min or so but then she is quiet until she has to potty then i get up and let her out...but during the daytime when i am home she will cry when i put her in her crate...i put toys in there and she doesnt even look at them..they actually end up under the other side of the divider because she is too busy trying to get out...her sole purpose is chewing the crate to try to get out...now she used to cry for hours but she now only cries for about 20 minutes or so...then she will stop for 5 or 10 minutes then start crying again...is this ever going to stop?? i am trying to put her in there more and more when i am home so she can get used to it but it seems like it will never end...

I have a 5.5 gallon tank with a 5 in tall divider down the middle of it. On one side there will be 5 inches of sand and then a plexi-glass ramp into 5 inches of brackish water. There will also be another ramp travelling upward from the divider to a plexi-glass platform near the top of the tank to provide more room. There will be one inch of sand on this platform. He is going to be 3 in a few months. He spoke around 75 words by 24 months, then shortly after began combining 2 words together. He now speaks in 3-5 word sentences and has more single words than i can count. The concern is that when I hear him singing for example, he is so cute btw, he is singing let's say Barney... he will sing "i love you, you love me" blah blah blah, but he is kind of sticking his tongue out and it makes him sound strange. If you're trying to get the picture of what he sounds out, try to stick your tongue out and sing it and that is how he sounds. Anyway, sometimes his voice is a bit on the nasally side. Confused about resistors and potential dividers?

I thought that resistors worked by increasing the difficulty with which the electrons move through that part of the circuit. The electrons had to "fight" to get past the resistor, and in doing so used up a certain amount of electromotive force (which, I've been told, is equivalent to voltage). However I am studying potential divider circuits and it is said that the voltage, rather than being used up to "get across" the resistor, goes into a side-circuit and can be used used to operate, for instance, a bulb. If the resistor used is a variable resistor and the resistance decreases, it that there is less voltage travelling into the side-circuit so the bulb doesn't light. I don't understand this; if there is less voltage being used up to "get across" the resistor surely there is more voltage left to travel into the side-circuit? Please help!!

Why did my betta fish die?

He was very lively when we first bought him home. The people at Petco said that he would not need a heater and he really didn't even need the filter that came with the 2.5 gallon tank. We did everything we were told:treat the water with the conditioner and let it run through the filter for 24 hours before putting in the fish; feed him only about 3 times a week or every other day; do a 50% water change 1 a week; don't keep the tank in direct sunlight. He seemed ok for about 2 weeks then I noticed he wasn't really swimming much. He would stay at the bottom of the tank not moving but was still alive. Every once in a while it looked like he took a deep breath. He would not eat. I went to another Petco and tried to buy a heater and they said the heater would kill the betta, so I did not buy it. They told me the betta didn't do much, so that was normal. Then he started laying on his side. He still looked normal (no fins falling off or stuff like that). I read online on various sites that he SHOULD have a heater and also that if he had labored breathing and erratic swimming that he might have an infection. Most of the bloggers agreed that some salt would clear up infections. So, I bought a heater anyway and some aquarium salt. I followed the directions and mixed the salt separately in another bowl (using the water he was already in) and connected the heater. I also attached a thermometer to the tank and it read about 70 or 72 and after the heater about 74. He actually started to sit up (instead of laying on his side, he was now holding himself up regularly. He even responded to me when I called him like when I first bought him. He swam around a little bit and went hiding in his little castle. I thought all was better now, but then this morning he was just laying at the bottom of the tank, this time not moving at all. Does anyone know what is was that killed him? It makes me think that ADDING the heater killed him, but it seemed like he was a little happier when it got warm. Maybe the salt? Maybe he starved? I was still trying to feed him little bits of food, but he never went up to get them. I do not want to buy my son another betta (he wants one), because this is the second one that died. The first one I think was because of too small a tank. We had bought the "betta" tank they sell that is small with a divider and just took out the divider to let him swim freely. But he was not lively when we bought him and the water was cloudy after a few days. I didn't even get the chance to change that one's water because when I got home after work, it was already dead in only 2 or 3 days. I guess what I really need to know is, does the betta actually need a heater or not? too many people differ on this and it just seems to me that the water was ice cold (it is very cold where I live). We are very sad...

Betta fish in 1 gallon bowl?

Buy a little heater pad and maybe an oxygen pump, and change the water as often as you possibly can. The betta can survive in a fish bowl, but it really isn't a suitable enviroment. I hope you'll be able to work out a divider or another tank for your other betta soon!

Sadly alot of war veteran's end up like that, they have experiences that we couldnt even fathom happen to them. I doubt he'll get worse and worse off but you might want to introduce a hobby to him, not to sound chidlish in any mean's but a video game could possibly help him find something more to do then just sit on the couch looking mindlessly at the television screen. What should I make a curtain out of to make a room divider for the air conditioner?

We don't have central air and we live in an old house so we don't have a lot of doors between rooms and the door ways are strange small sizes so we can't put doors in without custom making something. I decided that I would make curtains but should I just make thermal curtains or should I line them with a thin plastic?? Any suggestion or if you know of anything pre-made or what type of plastic.... Is it good to use an aquarium divider?

My cobalt blue zebra is holding & i already have fry in my 10 gallon from the red zebra that spit hers out last week so i decided to put up a divider in my 55 gallon with her on 1 side & the other cichlids on the other side. The divider is a piece of thin plexiglass with several holes in it. I covered the holes with tape though so the fry couldn't get thru. There is a filter on this side of the tank also, so the water is circulating. Is this a good idea?

With film photography, there's always going to be a risk that your photos won't come out. I've seen purple tinted film before, but it turned purple AFTER it was developed, not before it was rolled. If you don't have any other film, just take your shots. If you have a digital camera, take the same shots with that. I couldn't really tell you if it's fine or not, I don't really think anyone can. Decorating a 3 season room?

I want to redo my 3 season room. Right now its used for pretty much storage, but I want to make it into a nice sitting area but don't want to spend a whole a lot of money. Why won't my school compromise?

How do I cut my grill space in half?

I've got a pretty big charcoal grill. The grill space is at least 18" by 36". I'm usually using a whole chimney of charcoal to get the internal temp up to 250F and a chimney and a half to get it closer to 300F. This is great when I'm throwing parties and need lots of food. When it's just me and my girlfriend, I'm not looking to use a lot of charcoal. I'm wondering if there's a more efficient way to get half of the grill up to 350-450. Can I use a divider of some sort to keep only half of the grill hot?

The main difference is looks . there are a lot of differences that could change things though. one or the other may react better with the acoustics of your particular vehicle . What should I do for the fin rot of two male betta fish in a 2.5 gallon filtered and heated divided tank?

So, I have two male betas in a divided 2.5 gallon tank. It has an under gravel filter and small heater. One is a crown tail the other is a split tail. The water has aquarium salt in it. The temperature is usually 75-80 degrees or so, I think (I'm not at home right now). On of them got a torn fin after an encounter between the two of them due to my not properly inserting the divider (they were both fine and seemed to be at somewhat of a truce on opposite sides of the tank with the split tail having a torn fin). The fin rot seems to been caused by that and now both have some degree of fin rot (due to my own laziness, yes it was stupid, i know that now). I've been reading on different sites but I just wanted some input on this particular situation. I have some, I think Mardel, fin rot treatment at home that I have not yet used. Should I put the two of them in separate tanks for this, I don't gave another open filtered and heated tank so it would just have to be a fish bowl? I gathered from the site I should do a water change but how much? or should I just clean the whole thing completely filter, rocks and all? I can't fit a normal suction cleaner in the tank because it's so small. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks for your help!

In my front-loading washer, my fabric softener drains from its divider too quickly - what should I do?

I have a front-loading washer with a pull-out drawer that has three separate compartments - one for soap, one for bleach, and one for fabric softener. Does a 2.5 gallon fish tank need a filter?

It's a betta fish tank that's designed to hold two male bettas peacefully by having a divided placed in the middle. I installed the filter provided with the kit but it seems to create a much too strong current for such a small tank. It causes problems for the fish sharing the filter's side of the tank. The water surface per fish is 4" by 5" without the filter, but with the filter(the cartridge plate lays flat to keep the filter body and tube from touching bottom I assume) the fish it sides with is downgraded to only 1" width with the same 5" length at the water's surface. Realistically it can only come up for air(as they constantly do) and water in a 1"x1" section because if it nears the other 4x1 section it gets thrown against the divider due to the strong current. I've read that I'll kill the bacteria and then the fish if I turn it off, but I've only had it for 5 days so I doubt there has been much vital bacteria growth yet anyways. So is it ok to turn it off now for good and treat it like typical .5-2.5 gallon tanks(or a fish bowl) that don't use filters at all? Thanks for your time and knowledge.

How do I keep gouramis from eating algae wafers?

I have 2 dwarf gouramis and 3 otos in my tank. The gouramis regularly get good flake food and FD bloodworms. My otos have done an excellent job cleaning up the tank, but when I try to feed them some sinking algae wafers, my gouramis go after them and eventually eat them up. What can I do if I have a fibula stress fracture?

Ok so I am a freshman girl going to be a sophomore and I do cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. About 2 weeks ago i just started running again after 3 weeks after track ended due to another injury in my thigh. Within a week of running I developed this pain in my fibula right above my ankle that hurts when I touch and run on it. After looking on the Internet I have come to the conclusion that i may and probably have a fibula stress fracture. I am going to the doctor and getting an MRI done next week and needless to say I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. My question is what can I do that will help me keep me in shape without running so I can do moderately good in xc? Bought a Honda PCX scooter and major regret!?

It's a great little bike - with the emphasis on LITTLE!! The seat divider is too close to the front and I find it exceptionally uncomfortable to the point that it's hurting my back - although apart from that it's very nippy and exceptionally economical with start/stop technology. Would you 'chaps' out there bite the bullet and trade it in for something better and more suitable/comfortable (the bike was bought from new but I couldn't take one for a test drive before you ask) if you could just about afford it? I know I will lose a lot of money on it but I think my safety and comfort is more important. What do you all think? Confused about Electrical Resistance?

You have to look at the whole circuit. A potential divider or as we call it in the US, a voltage divider "slices" off a piece of the voltage resulting from current through resistors. Suppose you have a 12v source and you have a 6v light bulb. If you know the amps the bulb draws at 6v, you place that bulb in series with a resistor that will drop 6 volts with those amps through it. That way voltage across the bulb will be 12-6=6v. If the pd you are using consists of 2 resistors with the "load" connected off one of the resistors, that load in parallel with that resistor could decrease the equivalent resistance, increasing the current in the circuit which would then drop more voltage across the other resistor, lowering the voltage to the load. If that is not the case, if the load draws significant current or widely varying current, a voltage regulator tab will have to used with sufficient heat sinking. What causes swim bladder problems in a betta?

Feed her some cooked peeled peas. This usually clears up the swim bladder issue. It could take a week or more to clear it up so be patient. Swim bladder issues can be caused by swallowing air accidentally. to prevent this, get a sinking pellet food. A 5 gallon heated and filtered aquarium is considered the minimum for 1 betta. I would suggest a bigger tank. Also if you got her from a store and your tank is heated, you are supposed to stick her bag of water (with her in it) in the tank and let it float around for 20 mins or more. Her cup at the store probably wasnt heated and putting her in a warm tank might have put her in shock. There really isnt anything you can do about this, just try to prevent it in the future. Bettas are warm water fish so they do need a heater. A filter is mandatoryand a 5 gallon tank is the minimum for 1 betta.

I accidentally threw away my drivers permit?

I was taking segment two and i brought a separate folder so i could keep everything i needed together. Eventually that folder turned into my homework folder but i kept my permit in it so I could drive from school. At the end of the year i thought i had retrieved what i thought was my permit but it turned out to be the instruction side of it. Not the actual permit itself. Driver problems with computer?

When I was using the computer one day,light blue vertical lines started appearing on my computer screen. Now I've never had this problem before. My computer then slept on me, it didn't shut down, the screen turned black, and said going into sleep mode or something along those lines. I had music playing, so when the monitor turned off it was still playing music. I was getting a bit angry because every time I moved the mouse it the screen would attempt to turn on, but it showed lines on a black screen and then it would turn off again. I restarted my computer but it still showed the lines, and before the login screen, it would do the same, it would show blow lines across the screen, then turn off. The computer showed that it was still turned on because of the glowing power button. I figured it was a driver issue, so I went into safe mode and uninstalled the video driver (Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE) and restarted the computer. I was irked by what appeared, because on the startup it still had blue lines, but continued to startup. The Windows screen had blue lines, but this time it went into the login screen. I logged in, and tried to reinstall the driver. It said I had to restart to complete the installation. I restarted, but it then had the same problems with having blue lines then turning off before the login screen. The only screen that was fine was the coding screen with white lettering(idk what they call it) so I was bugged by this issue, so I tried the same thing (Uninstalling the driver in safe mode and logging in to reinstall it) but it was the same issue. Is there any way I can fix this problem? It's really getting on my nerves. I scanned with AVG and said there are no viruses present in my computer, so I'm sure it's the driver. I went to safe mode again, and disabled the driver. Starts up fine, but the Dell start up screen has the blue lines on the screen still. It starts up fine, besides the lines. I log in into my regular account and update the driver and enable it. Guess what? Not only does it do it again, but this time it's full of multicolored lined in different segments like green, red, and blue lines. Can anyone PLEASE help. ok, so a wheatstone bridge is set up as two voltage dividers consisting of two resistors each, with each divider parallel to the other. when the bridge is balanced the voltage between the two center points of the dividers should be zero. so when i connect a 741 op amps input terminals, one in the center of each divider network, the difference between the two input terminals should be 0V. now, if an op amp is supposed to amplify the difference between its inputs then why does a balanced bridge drive it into high saturation? and other bridge conditions (or so multisim seems to tell me, along with me schoolbooks) drive it into low saturation?? it seems to be doing the opposite of what i understand an op amp to do. what am i missing??

How do I keep my puppy from pooping in her crate?

I bought a puppy from the Shamrock Foundation about 2 months ago (she is 5 months old now). I feed her in the evening and she sleeps with me at night. She stays in bed with me the entire night and I take her out in the morning first thing. She pees 3 or 4 times and poops every time and I reward her with a small treat. Unfortunately, I have to put her in a wire crate when I leave for work at 7 and isnt let out until I get home around 4. To my knowledge, she doesn't whine or cry anymore but she does pee and poop multiple times in the crate. She will then lay in it and I have to bathe her and clean the crate every day. The crate came with a divider to make the area smaller, which I tried but that didn't work. So, I took the divider out thinking maybe she would go in one place and sleep on the other end and that didn't work. So then I tried locking her in the laundry room with a puppy pad. She went on the puppy pad, but tore up the linoleum floor and scratched the paint off the door. I know she can hold it long enough because she does it every night. Any tips on how to keep her from going in her crate every day? This has been going on for the last couple months. I am hoping it is something she will grow out of, but I want to promote good behavior from her.

Can't breathe when jogging for short time?

I'm not overweight, but even when I try jogging for a very very short amount of time I get out of breathe. I tried doing track earlier in the year but quit after a few days because it was embarrassing to always be in the back during practice. I can jog for a short time but if I keep pushing myself I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack or pass out. Also, when I was doing track I wanted to do something short like the 100 yard dash because I've always been a fast short distance runner. So my boar and sow had babies, they were born on the 27th of april. I don't want them mating ever again when i adopted them she was already 3 weeks pregnant and they're in one giant c&c cage with a wire cube divider, and the babies keep going in and out of the divider and the male starts purring really loudly and shifts his weight from side to side and sometimes squishes the babies into the wall (but not really just leans on them) is this normal? he's getting neutered soon so the mom and dad can be together- P.s. he's not even the dad none of the babies resemble him..

Help, my newts aren't newts anymore!!!?

I hatched supposed "newts" out of eggs a month ago and have been raising them. They looked a little different than the newt larvae pics on the internet, but I thought they were. They are about 3/8 inch long. Today, I found out that they shed their skin and morph into another water-dwelling organism!!! I don't know if these are newts anymore. It turns out I was wrong. The larvae had black heads and long slender, segmented bodies. The new "organisms" (whatever they are) are dark brown, have large heads, and have a segmented tail that curls around their bodies. Both types are the same size, but they are definitely NOT newts. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE THINGS ARE?? Should I throw them out or continue raising them? I NEED ANSWERS HELP!!!

After betta breeding quEstion!?

After my male and female veiltail betta spawned, does the male have to be with the eggs in the styrofoam cup and bubblenest if no other fish has acces to the eggs? So basically my question is- can I move my male betta back to his 5 gal tank and my female back to her side ofthe 10 gal tank (their is a divider that the me male was on with the eggs and the female on the other? And my bettas are taking like hours to mate, and everytime they rap up like either no eggs or very little come out. Is this normal, ik for a fact my female isn't inexperienced and I do believ my male is experience in breeding As well, y aren't they just doing it quick like all the other times

Why is separating your guinea pigs good? I understand that is they are fighting, you need to separate them, but what does that do? Does putting a divider in the middle of their cage really do any thing for them once you take the divider out? How long does it take puppies to realize to go outside?

I just realized that my crate was too big and that's why my 4 month lab peed inside all the time. She doesn't pee in her crate anymore, but she still thinks it's perfectly fine to pee inside since she has been going inside for like 2 months. I thought she had UTI but ever since I put a divider in the crate she hasn't peed inside it once. So if she keeps it up by not going inside, how long should it take before she realizes that she is suppose to go outside?
