I found a tapeworm in cat.?

last week my cat started pooping on the rug in front of of the toilet, then i found a little worm in it. after doing some research i found out it was a tapeworm. we have a vet apt set for this coming Friday, the cat dos not have lose stool is not puking . I was wondering if she will be ok until i get her to the vet also i have found one or two worm segments on the floor, are the can humans get them.
